“The movement that has begun regarding the growth and advancement of mosques must continue until it reaches perfection,” Gholamreza Soleimani said in an address to the opening ceremony of the third national conference for honoring activists, servants and leaders of mosques.
The conference kicked off at Jamkaran Mosque in Qom on Wednesday morning.
“Just as we have achieved great victories in confronting the hegemonic regime and the Zionists, we must also be successful in strengthening the internal system of the Islamic Republic, and this is possible by activating the mosques,” General Soleimani added.
“We cannot claim that we have succeeded in strengthening the internal system without activating mosques,” he went on to say.
The third national conference for honoring activists, servants and leaders of mosques is being held under the title of “Like Nasrallah” with the participation of approximately 1,500 mosque activists from across the country, as well as national and provincial officials and military personnel.
The opening ceremony, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, was also attended by General Mohammad Reza Movahed, commander of the Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) Corps of Qom, and Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Akbar Ojaqnejad, the custodian of the Jamkaran Mosque.
